I’ve spent most of my occupational therapy career working with people who have had strokes, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. I have worked in the full spectrum of rehabilitation — hospital, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, and home healthcare.

I am passionate about helping patients recover function and meaning in their lives, and I noticed a common barrier to this while I was working in the hospital and clinic environments.

Being in a clinic and simulating activities wasn’t nearly as effective as being in a person’s home environment where nothing is left to the imagination.

When people practice the tasks they want to do, in the environment they need to be in, with the actual tools they have — deep learning and growth occur.

Reach Rehabilitation was founded in 2015 so I could serve clients in a way I knew was most effective. It’s been a wonderful, rewarding journey.

A bit more about my background:

I received my Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and Master of Occupational Therapy degrees at Texas Woman’s University. I’ve practiced in Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington and London prior to settling down in beautiful Helena, Montana.

When I’m not driving around town coaching clients through everyday life, I enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, gardening, cooking and traveling the great state of Montana with friends and family.

It’s truly an honor to serve this community and build relationships with other healthcare providers. I look forward to expanding the team at Reach Rehab to bring more neuro-focused rehabilitation to Helena.
